화이트 부부였던 듀엣 밴드 The White Stripes (화이트 스트라입스)는 1997년 미시간 주 디트로이트에서 결성되었다. 잭과 맥이 남매관계라고 잘못 알고 있는 경우가 있는데 1996년에 결혼했고 2000년에 이혼했다. 2011년 공식 해체를 했고 잭 화이트는 솔로로도 성공을 거둔다. 밴드의 대표곡이라고 할 수 있는 The White Stripes은 4집 1번 트랙이며 첫 싱글로 Jack White가 만들었다. 모던락 차트는 1위를 기록했고, 빌보드 핫 76위를 기록했고 그레미 어워드에서 Best Rock Song을 수상하는 등 상업적으로도 성공하고 평론가들에게도 호평을 받았다. 2000년대 위대한 노래 중 하라로 불리며 지금도 스포츠 행사에서 자주 들린다. 특히 이 노래는 잭 화이트의 기타 연주의 기본이 리프로 유명한데, 베이스 기타가 아니라 잭화이트가 1950년대 스타일의 Kay Hollowbody 기타를 1옥타부 아래로 설정한 DigiTech Whammy 페달에서 나오는 것이다.
